Peaceful, Patriotic Assemblies to Defend Democracy in Frisco, Plano, and McKinney

MCKINNEY, TX – The Collin County Democratic Party is proud to partner with the national No Kings movement to promote four peaceful protests on Saturday, October 18. These events will affirm our fundamental American right to dissent and stand against authoritarianism.

Building on the powerful momentum of the summer’s nationwide demonstrations, No Kings 2.0 continues the vital work of defending democratic principles. Participants will exercise their First Amendment rights forcefully and unambiguously, while maintaining a firm commitment to nonviolence and lawful assembly.

“The right to protest is a cornerstone of our democracy, enshrined in the First Amendment and practiced by our founding fathers,” said Jeremy Sutka, Chair of the Collin County Democratic Party. “On October 18, across Collin County, we will demonstrate peacefully but powerfully. We urge all participants to be respectful and compliant with all laws, while remaining unwavering in our message: in America, the power resides with the people, not with any would-be king.”

The Collin County Democratic Party emphasizes that the core principle behind all No Kings events is a steadfast commitment to nonviolent action. All participants are expected to help de-escalate any potential conflicts and to follow all applicable laws and regulations.
