MCKINNEY, TX — The Collin County Democratic Party will lead a protest this Saturday condemning State Representative Jeff Leach’s support for PLANC2308, a mid-decade redistricting scheme that violates Texas Constitution Article III, Section 28, which permits redistricting only after federal censuses.

“Representative Leach is complicit in an unconstitutional power grab that disenfranchises Collin County voters,” said Jeremy Sutka, Chair of the Collin County Democratic Party. “By advancing this illegal mid-decade gerrymander, he’s choosing partisan loyalty over his oath to uphold our state constitution.”
